After being here for one month, it was time to meet all Comenius Language Assistants. Attending that meeting was so important for all of us as were aware it was a great opportunity to get to know each other, share our ideas, and experiences till that day.

Let me begin my story with the journey from Porto to Coimbra. I had contacted with some assistants who were also in Porto before going to Coimbra. We decided to take the same train from Porto Campanha. We were six assistants to go Coimbra together. Two assistants were from Turkey (me and my friend who is in Castelo da Maia), one from France, one from England, one from Czech Republic, and one from Lithuania. It was such a thrill for me to take the high speed train. However, the real adventure started when we arrived to Coimbra. As nobody knew where the hotel in which the meeting was going to be held was. Thus, we were always looking for someone to ask the way to the hotel. Everyone we asked was telling a different direction, but the general idea was that the hotel was just 5 or 10 minutes by walking. But in reality: It was far and far away from train station, and we had walked more or less for 45 minutes. As a result when we made it there, the meeting had just begun. First we introduced ourselves, told where we were coming from and where we were doing our assistantships. I was surprised as I did not expect too many assistants to speak in Portuguese, but almost half of them made their introduction in Portuguese.

The meeting was between 10:00 and 17:30. Actually, it was very long but we learnt many things about Portugal and what we should pay attention in the period of assistantship. There were three people from the National Agency of Portugal and they held the meeting both in English and Portuguese at the same time. What an experience!

Most of the people in the meeting hall were very interactive and friendly. We became friends immediately. It was a pleasure to know and communicate with people from different countries. However, I should underline the most beneficial part of the meeting. It was thorough the end of it that we had a group work. Nobody was shy and nobody was reluctant. There were some basic subjects. I was working on the subject “Teaching your native language” with my group. I did not know how but I had been chosen as the spoke-person of the group. I think I talked much  . Then, each group told their ideas about theirs, and the rest also tried to create ideas while they listened to the different subjects.

After all, it was over and time to rest. We went to the “piano room” and continued getting to know each other. At the end of the day, we were all together for taking photos to remember the day...

All in all, though it lasted nearly for eight hours, it meant to me very much. People were communicating, sharing opinions, laughing, sometimes getting bored but mostly happy to be there. Now, we are still in contact and I think this “assistants' relationship” will not be just for the time in Portugal , but it will be for a life time.

No passado dia 23 de Outubro, o Clube Europeu da Escola Secundária da Trofa participou na workshop promovida pela Agência Nacional (PROALV/Programa de Aprendizagem Ao Longo da Vida) que se realizou em Coimbra.

Esta participação constituiu uma mais-valia para a promoção de futuros projectos, no âmbito dos programas Comenius, Leonardo da Vinci e Grunvitch.

A presença de várias escolas do país e a troca de experiências foi também um factor positivo para o desenvolvimento de futuros projectos.

Apresentação da planificação anual

1º período:

·         Organização do concurso “Nós e a Europa – Quem sabe, sabe” cujos destinatários são os alunos do ensino secundário sendo dinamizado pelas professoras Alzira Pedrosa e Carla Pinheiro.

·         Participação no projecto “ A Europa mora aqui” promovida pela fundação Jacques Delors. Este projecto será dinamizado pelas professoras: Lucília Viana, Alzira Pedrosa, Carla Pinheiro, Manuela Sequeira e Manuel Monteiro.

·         Organização de materiais/propostas de actividades para OPTL. Este projecto está a ser dinamizado pelas professoras Alzira Pedrosa, Carla Pinheiro, Magda Garcia e Sara Fonseca.

2º período

·         Projecto de intercâmbio com alunos de uma escola da Roménia (ainda não confirmado)

3º período

·         Comemoração do Dia da Europa com actividades diversas.

     O Clube Europeu da Escola Secundária da Trofa, pelo 3º ano consecutivo, apresenta o seu Assistente Comenius.

     É de nacionalidade Turca e comemorou os 23 anos de idade no dia 16 de Outubro de 2009, em Portugal.

Está disponível para corresponder às solicitações de todos os professores/grupos disciplinares para participar nas actividades da escola: visitas de estudo; apoio aos clubes; eventos...

O seu período de assistência decorre de 23 de Setembro de 2009 a 14 de Maio de 2010.

Professora Alzira Pedrosa

No dia 9 de Maio de 1950, Robert Schuman, ministro Francês dos Negócios Estrangeiros, lançou, em Paris, o embrião do que é hoje a União Europeia.

Por se considerar que esse dia foi o marco inicial da União Europeia, os chefes de Estado e de Governo, na Cimeira de Milão de 1985, decidiram consagrar o dia 9 de Maio como o “Dia da Europa”.

No dia 11 de Maio de 2009, a Escola Secundária da Trofa comemorou o Dia da Europa, pelo terceiro ano consecutivo, no anfiteatro da Escola, perante a presença dos alunos e dos professores.

Como convidados do evento, estiveram presentes o Sr. Eng. António Pontes (Vereador da Educação da Câmara Municipal da Trofa), a Prof.ª Ika (Assistente Linguística da Escola Secundária da Trofa) e a Prof.ª Renáta Klemenová, da Obchodná Akadémia (Nitra- Eslováquia), que esteve acompanhada por 5 alunos eslovacos.

A comemoração iniciou com a apresentação de um filme, elaborado pelo aluno Tiago Correia, sobre a participação da Escola Secundária da Trofa no Projecto Língua Coménius com a escola Liceum Ogólnoksztłcące nr 1, de Choszczno – Polónia.

Após visualizar os belos momentos vividos pelos alunos na Polónia e em Portugal, os presentes escutaram com atenção as apresentações sobre a Eslováquia e sobre a Polónia. Os alunos e a professora Renáta da Obchodná Akadémia, mostraram belas imagens da Eslováquia, enquanto a Prof.ª Ika deliciou-nos com as imagens sobre as várias cidades polacas, principalmente da cidade de Cracóvia.
